Sergel: Gustav III

Bronze statue of the Swedish king Gustav III by Johan Tobias Sergel.

The drawing underlying the sculpture can be dated to 1790. The plaster model was made in 1793 and the bronze was cast in 1799. As of 2022, the monument is located at the northern end of Skeppsbron.

Johann Conrad Fischer saw and admired the statue on his travels in Scandinavia.
