hydraulic lime

raw materials, minerals, geology

A hydraulic binding medium for masonry and plaster mortars.

In comparison with cement, hydraulic lime does not completely set by hydration. However, it is malleable and has good water-retention capacity. Hydraulic lime is used in road building to improve or stabilize the earth.
